You buy something costing a “BUCK. Where did that term come from?
Wanna know what security was like at banks in the old days? You’d be surprised!
Geauga County used to extend all the way to Lake Erie? What happened?
If these questions intrigue you, perhaps you would like to view The Middlefield Banking Company’s traveling display called “Life In Geauga County - People who Make the County Work: Banking and Entrepreneurship.”
Look at where the county began, how the Geauga County Fair and Maple Festival used to look, and how much a pair of shoes cost in the 1800’s. See samples of steel pennies made during the World War II. All these things and more can be discovered in the exhibit.
This 20 foot lighted panorama display can be taken to your school, church, civic group meeting or business so that all this information can be shared. There is no charge to borrow the exhibit. It is The Middlefield Banking Company’s way of saying “Thank You” to the county that has enriched their 105-year history.
If you are interested in borrowing the display for your group, please contact Teresa Hetrick at 440.632.1666 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
