People Helping People

Customer respect, friendliness, professionalism

Our story, like that of many Ohioans, is one of humble beginnings, hard work and consistency.

Humility – We opened our doors in 1901 with $25,000 to our name as a solution to the need of local community bank in Middlefield.

Hard work – Over the decades, we weathered the Great Depression, two World Wars and ups and downs in the economy. Our commitment to providing people-focused financial services over the decades has resulted in the growth and expansion of our original location into 16 branches across central and northeast Ohio.

Consistency – This requires rock-solid leadership. In the 100+ years of our organization, we’ve only had eight different presidents. This has promoted a continuous dedication to doing the right things day in and day out.

Our Mission

  1. Profitably serve our communities by being dedicated to quality, safety and soundness, and maximizing shareholder value.
  2. Provide superior financial products and responsive personalized service, while promoting economic growth.
  3. Remain an independent and community-oriented financial services provider, while taking advantage of available options to expand the trade area as opportunities develop.

These guiding principles will continue to drive us forward into the future.
